Musician Nhat Ngan passed away at age 70 on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 10 AM in California. Famous for songs such as "Tôi đưa em sang sông," the talented musician has also written many Vietnamese lyrics to foreign songs as well. Overseas, he was actively working with many production companies such as May Productions , Asia , Thuy Nga , and Hollywood Night . You might remember Nhat Ngan as one of the judges in 2007's Thuy Nga Talent Show . At the end of 2011, he was supposed to judge in Giong Ca Vang from Asia and SBTN , but could not make it at the last minute because he was ill. Huong Giang had to gain weight in order to meet one of the many requirements to give blood. The singer shared on Facebook that "After gaining 12 lbs, I am finally qualified to donate blood ^_^." If you remember back to Thuy Nga Paris by Night Talent Show in 2007, in the intro interview, Huong Giang was working for American Red Cross in Orange County helping to do files, teach CPR to Vietnamese elders and help with translations. In the video she was awarded for her good work. Thus it is not so surprise to see the singer wanting to donate blood.

Huy Tam from Thuy Nga Paris by Night Talent Show in 2007 is among the contestants still lingering around in Vietnamese showbiz entertainment overseas. You might remember his rendition of "O Me Ly," which had audiences clapping along. However, musician Duc Huy suggested that audiences were clapping to the song not him. (Ouch). Huy Tam didn't make it to the finals, but he got a chance to appear in Paris by Night 88 where he performed in the opening number, the musical skit with Nhu Quynh and The Son as well as the duet with Quynh Vi later on in the show. Khanh Ha and her husband To Chan Phong of 17 years are still very happy. In fact, they hardly quarrel. "Our love story is only by fate. And after 17 years, I'm glad we're still happy. I always feel like it's like first time we met, said Khanh Ha about her romance with her husband. The young singer with a Korean inspired look had caught viewers' attention when he appeared on Thuy Nga Paris By Night Talent Show in 2007 . I’ve found the conspiracy behind Thuy Nga’s Paris By Night Talent Show 2007 ! Apparently Thuy Nga’s favorite boy toy (I mean singer) Trinh Lam made David Meng ate all the oranges and other acidic food, so much that it had affected David's voice and ability to sing well on stage. As you can see the innocent eyes of David Meng versus the evil smile on Trinh Lam’s face that says it all! Please support this mission to expose the TRUTH by passing the picture above to all your families, friends, partners, co-workers, and random strangers. David Meng deserves better! What happened to the people’s choice winner? Where is he? I as the people am expecting to see him heavily promoted by Thuy Nga . I also expect him to release a CD (WHY!) and appeared on the last couple DVDs of Thuy Nga as well. But once again Thuy Nga has cheated David Meng and me. Yup. I demand a recount! JK. Well it’s not that serious yet. But I do wonder what David is doing now. The last I seen of him was in Paris By Night 89 in Korea , which I did a review for. David Meng showed great improvement in his singing and I expected to see more of him on Thuy Nga’s shows. However not much to my surprise David Meng has been MIA. The last couple of days when his name suddenly came into my mind I immediately went to find the song “ Yeu De Roi Biet Xot Xa " that David sang in PBN 89 . Recently Paris By Night (PBN) AKA Thuy Nga created a talent show in search some great singers I guess… Like American Idol, they had voting by phone and text and even online. It is definitely a step up in the Vietnamese entertainment industry. Surrounding everything in life are controversies and criticisms. And Paris By Night Talent Show 2007 could not be without it! The show began on miratunes.com , a website recently made by Thuy Nga (allowing legal downloads of music, videos, and more). People around the world gathered in to audition and the show played on live online. Viewers around the globe could watch the live show online at miratunes.com and vote until the show ended. Of course you could also purchase a ticket to see the show in person. The talent show consisted of two parts, semifinals and the finals.
