Emcee, reporter, and news anchor Leyna Nguyễn from KCAL-TV Los Angeles won two awards at the 60th Annual 2008 Emmy Awards Saturday night September 6, 2008 according to http://cdn.emmys.tv/ . The two awards were due to her hosting the “2007 Special Olympics Summer Games” and “Heal the Bay.” In the past Leyna Nguyễn has won one Emmy Awards and with seven total nominations. She received the two awards just two months after giving birth to her second child. Leyna Nguyễn used to work for KCRA Sacramento and WRDW-TV Augusta, Georgia. Congrats!

What do you think? I'm a bit concern about her though, because she has been gaining and losing weight quite a lot. I don't know if it's healthy to be gaining a lot and then losing a lot afterward. However, I heard she had a baby, so that was probably why. I like Lâm Thúy Vân as a singer, her voice is really great. She's definitely one of the talented Vietnamese singers.

Singer Như Quỳnh celebrated her birthday with fans in Hanoi, Vietnam. The day was not only to celebrate the singer’s birthday, but it was also a nice gather up of fans to chat and have a discussion. Around 8:00 PM people started arriving, everyone then gathered to sing happy birthday. It was a very nice moment. Afterward, people showed their singing talent, singing to the many songs that singer Như Quỳnh sang throughout her career. Như Quỳnh also took the time to sign autographs. A total of 27 people from the fan club in Hanoi showed up for the event.
