Comedian Thuy Nga stood in a red traditional Vietnamese long dress with hubby Nguyen Van Nam among novice Buddhist monks of over 100 from Thường Chiếu Monastery, Dong Nai, Vietnam . Instead a more modern wedding, Thuy Nga chose a "Buddhist" wedding. The first ceremony, "lễ ăn hỏi" took place on December 25, 2009 at home. The comedian and her husband wanted to start from Saigon and travel to Thường Chiếu Monastery in Dong Nai to perform "Hằng Thuận" ceremony part of the wedding ceremony by Buddhist rituals.
