Miss VN Continents 2011: Ngoc Trinh's Win Was Expected

Vu Ngoc Trinh won the title of  Miss Vietnam Continents 2011 just yesterday, August 13 2011 at Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach, California. This beauty pageant show has been getting a lot of buzz and press here and there mainly because some of the people who signed up weren't your typical contestants. There were models from Vietnam who are entered such as Phan Nhu Thao (4th runner up), Tra Ngoc Hang (1st Runner Up) and Ngoc Trinh (Winner). Let's talk about Ngoc Trinh, the title winner. In 2005, she won the supermodel photogenic contest in Vietnam. In 2007, she was crowned as a beautiful fashion face at Miss Jewelry contest. Ngoc Trinh had numerous of media exposure prior to the contest. There have been predictions that she will enter top five or even win the title. Ngoc Trinh is known as "lingerie queen." However the lingerie queen had her shared of not so good press, from indecent photographs to being too honest in interviews. Click here to read the article.

In addition to all of that, Nikki Nguyen a contestant on Thuy Nga's A Dancing Dream also participated. It seems that some contestants had more of an advantage coming into the competition. Some were more exposed than others. If you watched the video clip here you can see that the photos used to represent each of the contestants were not on the same quality standard. Some photos were everyday life photos or self taken while others were more professional. Photos of contestants should be consistent and all taken professionally by the show. i was there to watch as someone i knew participated and ngoc trinh definitely bought the crown. SO obvious she has the nastiest personality when i talked to her at the hotel she stayed at.

Such an unfair contest. And such a disappointment for the Vietnamese community. Here we have a chance to give young ordinary people a chance to find success but instead we take away their dreams and give it away to a over populized brat named Ngoc Trinh.

She cheated and paid $25,000 for the crown. She only finished 8th grade and was nasty to everyone, trying to direct the contestants and directors, and she is not pretty.

Fake pageant that turns down the efforts of the working class Vietnamese females who go to school and have part-time jobs. This hsould be a chance for ordinary girls to showcase their beauty and brains. This MODELING CONTEST has NOTHING to do with the inside beauty of the Vietnamese female today. MC Entertainment is a disgrace and shame to the Vietnamese community. Someone as stupid as Ngoc Trinh, with such a nasty personality, can win. She clearly does not deserve her title and is obvious that she bought it. MINH CHANH, the dumb bitch in charge with this pageant, IS THE BIGGEST IDIOT EVER!!! It is a shame how you've portrayed your pageant. PITIFUL. WHAT A DISGRACE!

EVERYONE, THIS IS A MUST READ. It questions the legitimacy of this MISSVNC...which is a phony pageant. And I can say that from experience this pageant first hand as a contestant.

I was one of the contestant of the pageant, and I can honestly say Ngoc Trinh's personality was very unfriendly. When it came to the daily dance practices, her, among other Vietnam models such as Nhu Thao, sat there and watched us "regular" girls practice dancing, as if they knew they were already going to win. Minh Chanh's comment is extremely invalid. She never helped anyone with catwalk, nor did she try to acquaint herself with the other girls who are not models from VN. The pageant was a joke and am very disappointed. I wanted to join to explore beauty, brains, and behavior of the Vietnamese female. However, I know that without money, or fame, like Ngoc Trinh has, I wouldn't get very far...

the whole thing is fake, the 2nd runner-up Lynna is a complete fake, she also hooked up with a upper 40 year old man back in Nebraska for the money. Lynna is a liar
