Cat Tien vs. Vy Nguyen

Voice: As for singing, both are good to me. Vy has a stronger voice and sounds better in English. Cat Tien has an advantage because she can sing fluently in Vietnamese and English. It seems like Vy’s voice is clear while Cat Tien has depth and texture.

Looks: Cat Tien is more feminine and she has this cute look to her. The only criticize I heard about Cat Tien was that she has a “parrot” nose. As for Vy, she’s tougher in appearance and isn’t very photogenic. Vy looks good at certain angles and with certain clothes and makeup.

Dance: Seems like Vy got the upper hand here, but I don’t think dancing matters in the production videos. Not many people notice about it or care to discuss or at least I don’t see it around forum much. This happens because most of the singers cannot dance and got bad choreography.

YOUR THOUGHTS: These are just my opinions; I would like to hear yours. Who do you prefer? And what are your reasons. Plus any additional comments on the singers…

I think that both Cat and Vy are great singers in their own ways.

I love Cat cause she can sing in Vietnamese as well as English.

And I love Vy cause she is an amazing dancer. She totally rules!

Cat Tien sings Vietnamese suck......Although she's got the look. I never like the way Vy dances. Cat's Viet pronounciation not clear at all, I have a hard time listening to her sing

Vy voice is a whole lot better then Cat Tien. Cat Tien cant sing worth shit! She's getting all these praise because she 'cute' Please I've seen better. Her voice cracks when she hits a high note every single time. I seen her sing live and it was a waste of my money. The reason why she sound okay in Van Son is because the mic is fix duhhhh!!! Try listening to her sing live. I guarantee you will waste your money. Unless of course if your a guy, cause all the singers that cant sing flirt their way into the spot light.

Heard Vy live. Terrible. All her songs have the same melody (flat) that does not show her range which she doesn't have. I've seen worst during the American idol auditions but I can say that she is a better performer, definitely not a singer.

I honestly think that people shouldn't compare one to the other. Both Vy and Cat Tien are talented in their own ways. There shouldn't be any comparison between these two singers. Everyone has their own talents and those talents may be better than others, but if you put these two singers together, it's a really different level. One has more experience in something than the other. Again like I had said, these two are talented in their own ways.
