Singer Quang Dũng and Jennifer Phạm welcomes a baby boy, Thái An Nam in February of 2008. After much rumors about the anticipated birth of the couple's baby, images now surface along with an interview with Quang Dũng about his joy with his newborn son. The singer was very excited that a month before the birth of his son, he went out to purchase items such as pillows and blankets from Vietnam, claiming that pillows made in the U.S are too high and causes pain in the neck for the baby. Quang Dũng has also stopped much of his singing in the last two months to care for his newborn while his wife Jennifer continues schooling.
As for the reasons behind the baby's name, Quang Dũng wanted his baby to have a pleasant life. And the name An Nam sounds very peaceful and calming. (An Nam is also an old name of Vietnam). The couple is also planning to have a baby girl next year. As for Quang Dũng's work, he plans to spend most of his time working in Vietnam. He will take An Nam to Vietnam when the baby is a bit older and will bring him back in time for school in the U.S. Quang Dũng will continued to fly back and forth from Vietnam to the U.S. Currently the couple has a home in California, residing close to Jennifer's parents.
