I forgot to put a personal thought about this movie so I’ll just comment here. I watched this movie I have to say it is ok. It’s an improvement nevertheless. I really like Thai Hoa, he’s probably the best in acting out of everyone else in the movie. Personally I don’t find Kathy Uyen to be a great actress. She’s not bad, but definitely could be better. I saw her in “Chuyen Tinh Xa Xu” and then this one. She’s very stiff in her acting, just needs to loosen up a bit. Dustin Nguyen as well, he’s not that great either. However, this film is three times better than “Bay Rong” and the acting of Kathy Uyen and Dustin Nguyen is way way better than that of Johnny Tri Nguyen and especially Ngo Thanh Van. The leading people tend to be the worse compared to the supporting people whom I think are better actors overall. My biggest thing for Vietnamese film is how they read their lines; it is all too fast, stiff and unnatural. It is not right to need subtitles while watching a Vietnamese film for a Vietnamese person who is fluent in the language, reading, speaking and writing and has no hearing impairment. It’s ashamed.

I liked the movie, I finally watched after year or so, but my wife always complains that Viet Kieu can't speak Vietnamese properly.

I find, Southern Vietnamese speak really fast and Hanoians are very loud.
