This year the Vietnamese International Film Festival 2011(VIFF) and 5th anniversary opening night was a big celebration. It is an eight day showcasing of films made by Vietnamese filmmakers mainly held in California. The event attracts "around 4,000 people coming from all over the world." Its mission is to "support, celebrate, and project a diversity of visions and voices from filmmakers of Vietnamese descent and films by, for, and about the Vietnamese people and culture." VIFF 2011 featured "Saigon Electric" on its first and “14 Days” on the second night. Below are some photos from the first two days.
