Phuong Vy Sang at the Opening Ceremony of Boeing 787

Phuong Vy, daughter of veteran singer Phuong Dung was selected by the Boeing Company to sing at premiere of aircraft Boeing 787 Dreamliner in Seattle, Washington, late last month. Many musicians came to congratulate the singer on a job well done. Phuong Vy was trying to continue on her mother's footsteps. The singer said before going on stage, 'I am the daughter of singer Phuong Dung, she has devoted her life to art, music and I'm her descendant'... I came here to represent the people of Vietnam, for all the achievements, hard work and skillful talent..." Phuong Vy was trying to continue her on her mother's footsteps and she is proud to be Vietnamese.

On September 26, Phuong Vy stepped on to the stage with orchestra of 20 musicians and composers, including the great musicians of the orchestra both The Los Angeles Orchestra and The Seattle Orchestra. The singer believes it is a great honor for the Vietnamese community when she was chosen to sing at the opening of Boeing 787. In American professional baseball game between two teams MLB San Diego Padres and the San Francisco Giants at San Diego on Labor Day this year, singer Y Lan was selected to sing the American national anthem at the opening match, becoming the first Vietnamese singer to receive the honor.
