[Movie] Long Ruoi



"When Teo, a country bumpkin played by Thai Hoa, arrives in Saigon to stake out his fortune, he soon discovers that he is the spitting image of a local ring leader named Long Ruoi. But a recent ambush has left Long Ruoi in a comatose condition, forcing his henchmen to enlist the hapless Teo to masquerade as the ring leader to prevent an all-out gang war. Comedy ensues as the country simpleton is forced to transform into a city slicker, romance blooms as he falls for Long Ruoi’s seductive girlfriend (played by Tinna Tinh in her screen debut,) and drama breaks out when Teo realizes he is at the center of a brilliant plot full of twists and double-twists, where nothing is as it appears, and where no one is to be trusted. Will the cuckolded Teo wise up to the scheme and rise to the occasion to save the day? The ending may surprise you."
