The World’s Oldest Living Person

Image taken from http://news.bbc.co.uk/ The world’s oldest living person is a Japanese woman name Yone Minagawa , 114 born in 1893. She took the title after Emma Tillman passed away in January 2007. And the oldest living man is Tomoji Tanabe , 111 is also from Japan. As for the oldest person uptodate is Jeanne Calment , a French woman, 122, who passed away in August of 1997. My Thoughts: It's amazing to see people live that long. If you take a look at the list of the oldest person , many of them are females. I wonder why that is. There are many factors contributing to living a long life besides good health and a good diet. It could also be the living environment, the culture and also the attitude the person carries. Another thing that has me thinking is that some of the world's oldest people live in Japan. There must be something about their culture or their diet or any other factor that might have contributed.
