The answer to last week's 'guess who' was Le Anh Quan . Thank you for playing along. I am changing the name of this game to "Blast from the Past." It seems more fitting. Thai Doanh Doanh has been MIA from recent Asia DVDs. In showbiz, when a singer is missing for some time it could be that they're starting a family and giving birth or simply not working with that production company anymore in the case of Tu Quyen for example. Another theory is that since Asia has been very anti-Chinese that Doanh Doanh gets taken off because she usually sings in Chinese songs. However those are just theories, I don't have an answer for why the singer has not been showing up in Asia DVDs. I don't even remember the last production number that she appeared in. If you have an answer or any new ideas as to why, feel free to inform me. 

Asia's singers Trish Thuy Trang and Thai Doanh Doanh attended a Sanrio Gift Event in LA together. Sanrio is Japanese company famous for their Hello Kitty character and other cute figures as they are known for creating "kawaii" things. One of my favorite characters is Keroppi. This video is performed by Thanh Thảo . I didn't like Thái Doanh Doanh 's version of "Never Say Goodbye" but this is even worse. The rapping part is SO horrible- the dude’s voice is unbearable and the whole thing is very cheap. I prefer the original by Mario & Nesty.

So what's up? Apparently everyone is pregnant ! Yes, indeed since last year many celebrities has gotten marry so now it's time for a baby. Rumors have it that Loan Châu along with Tâm Doan is pregnant. It will be the first child for Tâm Doan and second for Loan Châu. Also words coming from Thái Doanh Doanh 's school that she is pregnant as well. I wonder if it is a publicity stunt. Last year news broke that Cẩm Ly and Hà Phương were expecting their second child in November of 2007, but I haven’t heard anything afterward. And also what happened to the perfect couple Quang Dũng and Jennifer Phạm ? Is it going to be a baby girl or baby boy? 2008 is going to be great aftermath year. Bằng Kiều and his family are currently in Vietnam , the singer was reported to appear as an audience member in a show in Ha Noi. I’m always late on these things; it takes me awhile to finish it watching. This is not a review on Asia 55: 75 Nam Am Nhac Vietnam 2 , Hat Voi Than Tuong though because I have not seen all of the show, but I want to quickly comment on it. I didn’t plan to watch any of Asia’s videos because as I stated in my earlier post to why I don’t watch Asia anymore... it sucks basically. However, my sister invited me to watch it with her and so I did hoping that it wouldn’t be so bad. In Asia 55, although the stories on the icons of Vietnamese music was interesting to watch and to know, I could not stay any longer to watch. After I saw like up to number 12 out of 31 performances I left. Asia didn’t change a bit. The opening act was bad because Da Nhat Yen and Don Ho was not a good pairing and doing a medley in the first act singing “ Ghe Ben Saigon ” was weak of an opening. I really dislike Asia for pairing so many people together, redoing old songs and hiring new MCs all the time. It se...
