What Happened to David Meng?





































What happened to the people’s choice winner? Where is he? I as the people am expecting to see him heavily promoted by Thuy Nga. I also expect him to release a CD (WHY!) and appeared on the last couple DVDs of Thuy Nga as well. But once again Thuy Nga has cheated David Meng and me. Yup. I demand a recount! JK. Well it’s not that serious yet. But I do wonder what David is doing now. The last I seen of him was in Paris By Night 89 in Korea, which I did a review for. David Meng showed great improvement in his singing and I expected to see more of him on Thuy Nga’s shows. However not much to my surprise David Meng has been MIA. The last couple of days when his name suddenly came into my mind I immediately went to find the song “Yeu De Roi Biet Xot Xa" that David sang in PBN 89. (“Đi thi hát làm gì đễ rồi xót xa.”) And this is the reason the song showed up on my play list.










Just yesterday I came across this video interview of Quynh Vi and Trinh Lam on VHN TV where the host Do Thanh kept on introducing Trinh Lam as the number one winner of the talent show in 2007. That bugs me in many ways. Well I have decided that if Thuy Nga is not going to promote David Meng then I will do it myself and do it even better than them! Yes I will heavily promote David Meng from now on my blog! So watch out! Haha. With that said I will now go dig up all of David Meng’s information so I can do an artist’s profile on him and so on. If any of you guys happen to have any info on David Meng don’t hesitate to tell me. Thanks in advance.

sadly that vietnemase are only interested in pretty and handsome singer.David Meng doesn't have the look. Ironically, a pretty girl like ngo thanh van, can't event sing, has highly promoted by many productions.

Part of the reasons why Thuy Nga lost its popularity to Asia Entertainment,because they overused same old faces base on their look instead of talents. David Meng was a people's choice winner,but he was invited back only once since then. That's just to show you how much Thuy Nga really care for the people whose voted for him,(appearently not so much).Oh!by the way next time PBN talents show should rename to a beauty contest instead,and I also highly recommend don't use a camera man to sit among a panel of judges that make you(PBN)and him look very desperated.

I found David Meng's voice to be very unique and different from other singers. I actually enjoy listening to him singing. Yes, he can improve, but I thought that as a reward for winning the people's choices, he would be able to sign a contract with paris by night (plus the money). Like you, I was expecting to see him. It was kind of sad to see him sitting as an audience in one of the paris by night instead of being on stage and performing. I think it is unfair.

Remembering Minh Tri & Viet Thi

They were a cute couple on Vân Sơn Entertainment show and also off stage as well. After courtship, Minh Trí and Việt Thi married and had two daughters.
