The Reasons Behind Nguyên Khang's Overdosed

http://www.nguyenkhang.info/

After the overdosed scared, singer Nguyên Khang is slowly recovering with care and support from family, friends and fans, which he thanked everyone for. The singer also promised to be happier, more confident, and healthier and become a better use to society as a person.

It was on the night of February 21, 2008 that Nguyên Khang became depressed over some issues dealing with life, family, and his work that led to the medication overdosed. While recovering, Nguyên Khang accepted an interview with Thy Nga from RFA over the phone wherein he shared details and clues to the reasons behind his moment of despair. The reasons stated does not involved love problems but rather many aspects of life piling on top of one another that caused the tragic incident. Apparently Nguyên Khang suffered from some kind of psychological repression mentioned to the singer from his doctor. The singer recalled that there was a "black spot too big" in his mind that he could not think of anything positive, which he thought he needed a "long sleep” or maybe a "forever sleep." Nguyên Khang didn't see it as suicidal. Part of the problem has to do with having elderly parents over 70, caring and worrying for them, and also sibling conflicts within the family. As well as running a restaurant, and working as an entertainer in a time where piracy problems become a worrisome matter to the point where the singer was confronted with when someone asked him to signed a bootleg copy of his newly released CD “Ta Muốn Cùng Em Say.” Nguyên Khang could no longer deal with all the "b.s" of work. Furthermore, there are some complications mainly with how the singer lives life versus everyone else. Nguyên Khang is a straightforward person, where to him black is black, white is white, right is right and wrong is wrong, therefore he finds it difficult to live like everyone else he said vaguely. Not sure how everyone else is living, but could it be the hypocrisy side of life and people that made life pointless? And then on top of that, work, and family became unbearable. Currently Nguyên Khang is resting at home and undergoing psychological treatments. Everyone wishes the singer all the best and will soon recover.

The entertainment business is cutthroat and hypocritical. You really have to be thick skinned and bad ass to tolerate the pple in this field. Pray he stays strong.

I listened to the interview after reading about it on your blog. He does sound very weak and sad. I can see how all the stress of his career, family, and personal life got to him. He was very lucky that his family found him in time to save him. Hopefully, with medical help and family support, he will have a speedy recovery.

People hardly hear about the dark side to this entertainment industry. All we see are singers in their glamourous set up looking happy and excited on stage when behind the stage there are so many devastations occurring. It must feel horrible to carry so much weight on your shoulder. Poor NK...

his story sounds just like Hollywood celebrity's :-) and the part about his way of living "black and white ..." Once upon a time, he came to visit a friend and then slept with the friend's wife while the husband was not around, talking about hypocrisy ? about his career: he's a copy of Tuan Ngoc, even the way he talk... sad sad ..

Nguyen Khang, is a very WEAK MAN. He does not see white is white or black is black. He is a man of NO MORALS.

A few years ago he was supposed to perform with famous Vietnames singers in Australia, such as Dam Vinh Hung, Hong Ngoc, Hoai Linh....However he was scared when he was told that there was going to be demonstrations by the Vietnamese Community....haha

What a BIG mistake, because now most Vietnamese American singers are going back to Vietnam to perform and also to perform with Vietnamese singers in America. Ever other Vietnamese singer from America is making alot of money in Vietnam, such as Tommy Ngo, Linda Trang Dai, Elvis Phuong, Tuan Ngoc...

Vietnam is where the money is and Nguyen Khang, cant get into Vietnam.

Nguyen Khang, you should grow up, and be a man about everything in life. Stop taking the easy way out. YOU ARE NOT A MAN....
