In an effort to help Japan, NhacVietPlus will hold a charity concert titled “ Mặt trời mọc ” on April 5th, 2011 in Hanoi. The show features many singers such as Thanh Lam, Khanh Linh , Ngoc Anh , and etc... Among the celebrities attending is actor Johnny Tri Nguyen who will be there to auction off his souvenir, which he refers to as his lucky charm to help raise funds for the victims of Japan's recent disasters. The souvenir is a Feng Shui Fossil item designed by Mai Lâm . The actor shared with NhacVietPlus correspondent that the item was a gift from Mai Lâm to him. The Feng Shui Fossil symbolizes success and luck in the job. Through this charity concert, Johnny wants to send the luck over to the people of Japan who suffered the effects of the natural disasters as well as to the people who will win this auction that they will be successful in everything. MC Huyen Ny started out as a young and fresh new face in Vietnamese entertainment overseas. She began her work with Tinh Music Production in 2006 and later co directed one of their videos. Since then, she began various hosting jobs. She hosted JCPenney Makeover Show and Golden Mic Competition with Saigon TV. Then she participated in Candle for Love Concert . Huyen Ny is quite a talented and educated person with a passion for art. Besides her job as an emcee, she's also a pharmacist. According to Huyen Ny, she loves both jobs and wants to follow her dreams. Recently, she's migrated into a singing career. Although I wish her the best and success, I like the saying “ông trời không cho ai tất cả”. Basically, you can't have all. You're lucky to be good at one. Nowadays, a lot of Vietnamese entertainers are involved in various advertisements. As you know MC Ky Duyen was advertising for Sua Ong Chua and other beauty products and herbs for awhile now. I remember Cat Tien and Luong Tung Quang was doing Yeo's commercial . Then Johnny Dung for a phone card company . Helena Hong Ngoc did Vitamin Skin Care . Last but not least we had Nhu Quynh in an ad for Lee's Sandwich and for The 2 Chieu . As for MC Viet Thao he recently advertised for Gao Nang Huong Cho Dao . It's a good thing that there are commercials and advertisements with Vietnamese celebrities. It shows that the Vietnamese entertainment industry overseas is getting bigger and over time there's going to be lots of good improvements. Surely, we are on the rise. On the other hand, I can't say that yet for the movie industry overseas and maybe in Vietnam as well. Joking joking. But seriously, we have miles to go in that area. Saigon Yo! also known as Saigon Electric is a hip hop film by Stephane Gauger ( Owl and the Sparrow - Cu Va Chim Se Se ). The film was released on December 17, 2010 in Saigon and other big cities and provinces in Vietnam. Rapper Chosen whose music was featured in the film commented that this film is great because "it's the very first hip hop movie being released in Vietnam!" Saigon Yo! follows the story of Mai, a traditional ribbon dancer from the countryside who goes to Saigon in hopes of being admitted to the national dance academy. The movie will be out in American theaters summer of 2011

As you know, singers Quynh Vi and Huy Vu are a couple and they are not hiding it. The two have been together for quite awhile now, at least one or two years now. (I don’t know, not keeping track). You can see them hand in hand at almost every events. Quynh Vi came to us via Paris By Night Talent Show and Huy Vu is regular at Tinh Music Production .
